Norway’s Aker Solutions has confirmed it has been awarded a contract by Brazilian state-controlled oil giant Petrobras to provide subsea equipment for its Mero pre-salt field.
The contract will see Aker provide a subsea production system that will consist of of 12 vertical subsea trees, four subsea distribution units, three topside master control stations for the Mero-1 Guanabara floating production, storage and offloading vessel and spare parts.
