A revival of licensing activity has lifted some of the gloom hanging over Brazil’s offshore sector, and though some supply chain companies have fallen by the wayside, others are emerging in better shape to take advantage of renewed growth opportunities in the country.

Aker Solutions was one of the first big suppliers to experience the effects of overheating in this sector, but responded by investing in improved production processes and, when the downturn hit, moving into the recession-beating market for offshore maintenance and services.
