US supermajor ExxonMobil and UK counterpart BP have signalled continued interest in the Alaska LNG project by signing an agreement with the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation (AGDC) to continue to move forward with work on the scheme, writes Julia Martinez.

After recent reports suggesting uncertainty about the viability of the liquefied natural gas development, the companies said they would be “working together to identify ways to improve the project’s competitiveness, and progress the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Ferc) authorisation to construct the project”.
