Late last week the Government of Alberta cancelled 32 leases held by 10 companies in areas within the mandated Urban Development Sub-region. There is also the potential for an additional 200 surface dispositions to be cancelled.
The companies directly affected by the disposition include Suncor Energy, Cenovus Energy, Alberta Oil Sands, Koch Oil Sands Operating, Cavalier Land, Grizzly Oil Sands, Laracina Energy, Value Creation, E-T Energy and Scott Land & Lease.
