Neil McCrank announced he would retire on 31 March as chairman of the Alberta Energy&Utilities Board. He turns 64 in May and his nine-year appointment is expiring.

The province appointed board member Brad McManus acting chairman while the search is on for a permanent appointment to replace McCrank, a former Crown prosecutor who had to deal with an array of issues affecting investment, jobs, living standards, the environment, property rights and public services fuelled by industrial growth.
