Diezani Alison-Madueke, Nigeria’s former petroleum minister, was arrested in London last week, accused of laundering billions of dollars from government coffers during her five years in the post.
Further arrests among Nigeria’s elite followed as part of President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign to root out corruption in the country.
