Until now the Mumbai offshore area off India’s west coast has dominated India’s oil and gas industry, with a major chunk of the country’s production coming from the western assets.
However, for the next five years at least, the spotlight is going to be on the Krishna Godavari basin, where ONGC plans to invest more than $6 billion to develop various discoveries in the basin.
