Work on the latest stage of Eni’s multi-phase Loango project off Congo-Brazzaville appears to have stalled, writes Iain Esau.
Last summer, Upstream reported that McDermott and Saipem were the only remaining contenders to land a fabrication, installation, hook-up and commissioning contract centred on a 17,000-tonne integrated drilling and production platform (IDPP).
It is understood the two players had been set to receive final bid documents from Eni but, since then, all has gone quiet and it is unclear if the tender process has progressed.
