US independent Alta Mesa Resources is planning a drilling progamme in the north-west Stack play in Oklohama that could see it drill up to 10 new wells over the next six to 12 months.
Chief executive Hal Chappelle said the company was encouraged by results from its Flying Monkey well targeting the Osage formation in Major County, a step-out area from its core acreage in Kingfisher County.
