Toshiro Miyazaki, the 67-year old chief executive of Modec, the Japanese floating production, storage and offloading vessel specialist, shows little sign of slowing down despite being past the age when many of his peers would consider retiring.
However, he highlights the issue of Japan’s population demographic and points out that his age is not that unusual in Modec.
“Looking at my age, spiritually and mentally and physically, I think I am 55, and that keeps me going,” he tells Upstream.
