US independent Anadarko Petroleum has hit the target at its closely watched third appraisal of the big Shenandoah discovery in the Lower Tertiary play of the Gulf of Mexico as a decision on a development plan for the field looms.
Anadarko said Shenandoah-4, spudded in late May in Walker Ridge Block 51, hit more than 620 net feet of oil pay.
