US INDEPENDENT Anadarko Petroleum is primed to take its first step into waters off Namibia.
Industry sources said the Houston-based player is close to finalising a deal to partner UK-based Tullow Oil in the PEL 037 block off the country’s south coast.
It is unclear what the terms of the deal will be but a source said “there are certainly conversations” underway and that an agreement could be revealed this month.
