US independent Anadarko Petroleum is actively considering the use of “multiple” floating production units at the Shenandoah oilfield to exploit rivers of resources in the Gulf of Mexico’s complex Lower Tertiary trend.
The Texas-based operator is said to be close to deciding on a concept for the major field development, with a final selection expected at the end of September.
A well-placed source said Anadarko has completed an internal peer review.
