A handful of UK shale gas explorers are persevering in their operations despite some delays, writes Anamaria Deduleasa.

Initial data from Cuadrilla Resources’ Preston New Road site in Lancashire, northern England, points to high gas content, low processing requirements and excellent rock properties for fracturing in the Bowland basin, according to the company.

Fellow UK shale explorer IGas Energy recently reported encouraging results based on early analysis of shale samples from its Springs Road prospect in nearby Nottingham.
