Angola this week launched its keenly-anticipated offshore licensing round in the capital Luanda, putting on offer several blocks in the Namibe and Benguela basins.

The opening of the round will be followed by roadshows in Houston, London and Dubai on 10 September, 17 September and 23 September, respectively, according to state news agency ANGOP.

This is the first licensing exercise to be held in Angola since 2011 and will be conducted under a new legal framework backed by President Joao Lourenco.
