China’s Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC) will soon issue a fresh tender covering the installation of facilities for its Liuhua 29-2 gas field in the Pearl River Mouth basin in the South China Sea, writes Xu Yihe.

COOEC in March initially issued a letter that sought interest from potential foreign contractors including Italy’s Saipem and UK-based TechnipFMC.

The workscope covers the installation of two pipeline-end terminals (PLETs) and one eight-inch production flowline between the two PLETs in water depths of about 750 metres.
