The Brazilian National Petroleum Agency (ANP) has qualified nine more companies to bid for onshore and offshore exploration blocks as part of its permanent offer initiative.

These include US independent Murphy Oil, Australia-based Karoon Gas, Portuguese outfit Partex, Latin America-focused Geopark and local players Exito Importadora, Great Energy, Imetame, Oil Group E&P and Vipetro.

According to the ANP, there are now 19 companies registered to submit proposals for up to 158 exploration blocks being offered on an ongoing basis.
