A drilling unit will shortly be mobilised to Dharoor to spud the first well onshore Somalia since 1992, according to AOC president Rick Schmitt. Data processing is almost complete and interpretation will begin next week.
The seismic tie-up, comprising the UK's IMC and Calgary-based Tesla Exploration, have demobilised their equipment and on 15 January successfully transported it out from the port of Bossasso in the semi-autonomous region of Puntland.
