SEISMIC player Polarcus is about to start a seismic shoot for US independent Apache on an unexplored block off Suriname, where interest is picking up following the Liza oil find in neighbouring Guyana.

A Polarcus vessel is arriving in Suriname shortly and will begin an acquisition programme covering 6250 square kilometres on Block 58, an Apache representative confirmed to Upstream.

The shoot is expected to take about three months to complete.
