The development of the $11 billion Manfia field will add 900,000 barrels per day to Aramco's oil capacity by 2011.
Manifa, which will produce Arabian heavy crude, is the largest offshore development undertaken by Aramco.
"Jan De Nul will carry out dredging works before building several drilling islands and a 41-kilometre causeway that will provide Saudi Aramco with a direct link from the coast to shallow-water offshore man-made drilling islands," an Aramco statement said.
