Future growth in Argentina’s liquefied natural gas exports will depend on more investments in onshore liquefaction facilities and pipeline infrastructure, or in more floating liquefaction units, according to a new report by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), writes Julia Martinez.

The country’s first LNG cargo was shipped on 6 June from the Tango FLNG unit, which has production capacity of about 70 million cubic feet per day with expectations of producing up to eight export cargoes annually.
