THAILAND'S Fourth Army has offered to intervene to resolve the stalemate between opponents and supporters of the Thailand/Malaysia joint area development (JDA) pipeline that is threatening to derail the project schedule. However, the offer is unlikely to cut much ice with those opposed to the plans of Trans Thailand-Malaysia (TTM), the Petronas/Petroleum Authority of Thailand joint venture, to land the pipelines near Songkhla, southern Thailand, and construct gas separation plants there.
