Fabrication and installation of the 14,000-tonne deck for the field's production platform has attracted bids from J Ray McDermott, Technip/Malaysia Shipyard & Engineering, Hyundai Heavy Industries and Samsung Heavy Industries. Singapore's SMOE surprisingly opted out, said sources.
Bids are valid until 15 April 2005 so an award could come at the end of March if all goes according to plan.
The topsides, which will be installed via the float-over method in about 75 metres of water, will include the usual modules plus carbon dioxide removal facilities.
