US contractor Geokinetics is scheduled to gather 129 line kilometres of 2D data over in the Mnazi Bay concession, targeting Tertiary and Cretaceous plays and is set to complete operations in mid-June.

Processing and interpretation of the new data should be complete by September with drilling locations finalised late this year.

After the onshore work, Geokinetics' crew will acquire 103 square kilometres of 3D data over the producing Mnazi Bay gas field and the untapped Msimbati gas discovery, between October and December this year.
