US INDEPENDENT Conoco has started the ball rolling on its Belanak oil and gas field development off the coast of Indonesia. The operator has invited regional yards to pre-qualify for a floating production, storage and offloading vessel to exploit the field in block B. The planned infrastructure will also include two platforms and a 50-kilometre pipeline to tie into the main West Natuna facilities, according to industry sources.
