The Canada-Newfoundland & Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board announced a call for bids on four parcels in the region a year ago.
Bidding was essentially put on hold until completion of the western strategic environmental assessment released in early May. Operators interested in the offshore region now have until 12 November to submit bids under the Call for Bids NL13-03.Among the potential bidders in the region is Nova Scotia-based Corridor Resources, which holds a licence in the Old Harry prospect in the Gulf of St Lawrence, which borders Newfoundland and Quebec.
