At least four in frame for Zawtika rig deal

At least four contractors are in the race to supply a rig to drill more than 60 development wells for PTTEP’s Zawtika Phase 1B project on Block M-9 off Myanmar.

Bidders include SapuraKencana, Atlantica, Seadrill and Energy Drilling.

Malaysia’s SapuraKencana has offered the T-9, T-19 and Teknik Berkat units, Atlantica has offered newbuild Atlantica Gamma, Energy Drilling has offered the newbuilds EDrill-2 and EDrill-3, and Seadrill has ­offered the semi-submersible self-erecting tender West Vencedor.
