Australian independent AWE has recorded a 78% increase in recoverable reserves at the Waitsia gas field onshore Western Australia.
The field is now estimated to hold a gross 811 petajoules of gas (765 billion cubic feet) on a proven and probable basis, according to an independent review by RISC.
AWE said a further update is expected before the end of 2017 once results of a current flow test programme on three appraisal wells are finalised.
