The field has been producing since 1986 and currently hosts more than two dozen platforms with variable sizes and functions.
However, many of the platforms are old and in desperate need of refurbishment.
Vietsovpetro a 50:50 joint venture between PetroVietnam and Russia's Zarubezhneft is the field operator, which is focusing on upgrading the topsides on its riser and wellhead platforms.
The two large processing platforms will receive attention at a later date, likewise the field's four floating storage and offloading vessels are not a priority.
