NORTH Dakota oil production edged up by about 1.4% in July but remains constrained due in part to difficulties finding qualified workers to staff completion crews, writes Luke Johnson.

North Dakota's Department of Mineral Resources director Lynn Helms said there are 24 or 25 hydraulic fracturing crews currently working in the state — enough to keep up with the current rig count of around 56, but still short of the level needed to see substantial growth.
