NORWAY is ready to initiate development of multiple offshore gas discoveries in order to secure long-term supplies to emerging markets in Eastern Europe.
Gassco, the state-owned operator of Norwegian gas infrastructure, told Upstream this week there is sufficient capacity in Norway’s gas pipeline system to export an additional 10 billion standard cubic metres per year to Denmark and Poland via the planned Baltic Pipe project.
