Russia's Lukoil has started oil production from two extended reach wells drilled to an offshore reservoir at the D41 block in the Baltic Sea near the country's Kaliningrad enclave, writes Vladimir Afanasiev.

The privately held company said the two wells were completed in February and earlier this month, respectively.

According to Lukoil’s regional operator Kaliningradmorneft, development drilling at Lukoil’s third offshore asset near Kaliningrad, the D33 block, is scheduled to begin in 2026.
