Banpu has farmed in for a 29.4% interest in the Chaffee Corners project in Bradford County in the heart of the Marcellus dry gas window.
The acreage has proven reserves of 156 billion cubic feet of dry gas net to Banpu.
In tandem, the company has appointed former PTT executive Anon Sirisaengtaksin as a director and executive advisor relating to its new upstream gas strategy.
