Norway has offered up 48 blocks in the Barents Sea as part of its latest Awards in Pre-defined Areas (APA) licensing round.
This year’s round is expanding the offered acreage area to 90 blocks, including five in the North Sea and 37 in the Norwegian Sea.
The country’s APA rounds, run annually alongside regular rounds for new acreage, involve repackaging of previously trammelled tracts that can be examined by new actors with different eyes.
