An Oil Search-led joint venture has discovered additional gas volumes at the Kimu field in Papua New Guinea just 10 kilometres from the export pipeline to the PNG LNG liquefied natural gas facility, writes Russell Searancke.
The Barikewa-3 appraisal well is the second of two planned appraisals on discoveries in PNG's onshore Forelands area. The previous well Kimu-2 was also successful.
