UK gas output is set for a boost in the near future as Shell closes in on first production from its ultra-high-pressure, high-temperature Baroli gas and condensate field via the Shearwater platform.
The heavy-duty jack-up Noble Hans Deul started drilling the 22/30b-BB Baroli exploration well last July from the Shearwater platform as a sidetrack from the abandoned Shearwater SW06 well.
