The US construction giant bid lowest at $1.45 billion in a mid-October price-opening for the Abu Dhabi job. Bechtel, in partnership with Technip, also had the main contracts for OGD-1 and OGD-2.
For OGD-3, Technip submitted a separate bid of $1.48 billion, while Chiyoda Corporation and JGC Corporation, both of Japan, quoted higher prices of $1.68 billion and $1.71 billion respectively, according to the Middle EastEconomic Digest (MEED).
