The private company, owned by the billionaire Bass brothers based in Fort Worth, Texas, has sent out an expression of interest covering a shore base and another EoI for a drill site survey for a deep-water probe in exploration licence 2407.
This probe, which was originally due to be drilled in 2005, is now targeted to spud during the second half of this year.
