A Bestford official said the company is “open to sale or bareboat charter” of the Gusto-MSC CJ46-X100-D design newbuild rig, the first of six units ordered by the company on a speculative basis from China Merchants Heavy Industries since 2013. The official clarified that the fledgling rig owner does not initially intend to manage or operate any of the rigs itself.
