BG HAS been warned by Britain's health and safety watchdog against carrying out high intensity hot work after a small welding fire on its Rough 47/3B platform off the UK's north-east coast. Inspectors from the offshore safety division of Britain's Health and Safety Executive have questioned whether BG should be carrying out hot work, such as welding and grinding, on the platform without ceasing production or undertaking the work in a pressurised habitat.
