US contractor Baker Hughes (BHGE), has confirmed the award of a “substantial” contract to supply subsea production systems and well completion equipment for compatriot Chevron’s Gorgon phase two liquefied natural gas project in Australia, writes Amanda Battersby.

A 15-year master service order (MSO) covers the SPS with a five-year contract for well completion equipment.

The SPS workscope includes 13 subsea production trees, two eight-slot manifolds, 13 MS-700 SFX fatigue-resistant wellheads and special connectors and pipes systems, and 16 Sem2K subsea control systems and associated equipment.
