Macedon is an all-subsea development with four subsea production wells in 190 metres of water connected to an onshore gas processing plant via a 85-kilometre 20-inch diameter wet gas pipeline.
The offshore workscope will comprise the installation of the subsea production system and the export pipeline.
Award of the contract was originally due a couple of months ago, but slipped while Macedon operator BHP Billiton made the bidders respond to detailed questioning during the bid clarification process.
