European subsea construction company Acergy was awarded a contract in July by BHP Billiton for subsea installation work at Pyrenees.
Acergy said at the time it would use the vessel Toisa Proteus beginning in the second half of 2009 for the Pyrenees assignment, which consisted of project management, engineering and installation of certain manifolds, flexible flowlines and risers, umbilicals, and associated tie-ins, plus pre-commissioning of the subsea system associated with the Pyrenees floating production, storage and offloading vessel.
