Kenya is evaluating initial responses from seismic contractors keen to carry out a 3D survey in the country’s offshore waters as it prepares for a potential licensing round in 2021, writes Iain Esau.
Andrew Kamau, Principal Secretary at the Department of Petroleum (DoP) told the East African Petroleum Exhibition & Conference that “we are in the process of securing a company to acquire multi-client 3D seismic off Kenya, which will then result in a bid round”.
