Mexico’s independent oil and gas regulatory agencies could be brought under the auspices of the country's energy secretariat if a proposal from the incoming government is introduced, writes Kathrine Schmidt.
The goal would be to consolidate the agencies within one body, according to a document published in Mexico’s parliamentary gazette and crafted by the Morena party of President-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who is set to take office in December.
