Several international companies have placed bids for the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) oilfield complex stakes held in the consortium by US supermajors ExxonMobil and Chevron, both of which are seen as willing sellers of their interests in ACG in the Caspian Sea off Azerbaijan.
While ExxonMobil declined to confirm its sale plans, Chevron put Azerbaijan and its UK North Sea holdings as non-core assets for selling and in the public domain, according to a company presentation for investors in June.
