Brazilian oil giant Petrobras has received commercial bids in a pair of tenders calling for the charter of platform supply vessels, with some proposals coming in very low, suggesting contractors remain keen to secure revenues now despite expectations of a pick-up in demand.
Petrobras received offers in the two PSV tenders in early October, again under a reverse auction scheme that has been heavily criticised by industry players for requiring participants to engage in a bidding contest to find the lowest available price.
