Uzbekistan's state-owned oil and gas producer Uzbekneftegaz has high hopes of signing new partnership exploration and development contracts with Russian and international oil majors and investors following a restructuring process begun earlier this year, writes Vladimir Afanasiev.

Uzbekneftegaz executive chairman Bakhodirzhon Sidikov said the company has delineated more than 20 investment blocks in promising Ustyurt region in the north-west of the country and offered them to potential partners as exploration and development targets.
