BP has pushed back tender submission deadlines in the US on two crucial Gulf of Mexico offshore projects, Mad Dog 2 and Hopkins, as the industry continues to confront a freefalling crude price.
The UK supermajor has delayed until February the deadline on bids for the semi-submersible production facility it is seeking for Mad Dog 2, industry sources said.
An award could come as early as September, but sources acknowledged the decision could slide even further to the right.
