UK supermajor BP has made its first commercial delivery of gas to Turkey via its Shah Deniz 2 infrastructure in Azerbaijan.
However, Upstream understands that the gas delivered to Turkey was not sourced from the part of the field's reservoir to be tapped by the 26-well subsea production system on Shah Deniz 2 because first production from these wells will only flow in two months' time.
